Esther Elvira Stigliano

Esther Elvira Stigliano, 90, of Syracuse, N.Y., went to be with her heavenly Father on April 25, 2019. She was a longtime resident of Sharpsville.
Known affectionately by many as "Aunt Esther", she spent the most treasured period of her life traveling the country with her Kids Krusades, in which children and adults were delighted by her Bible stories and songs.
For several years, she worked as a secretary for the Salvation Army in Sharon, where she would annually assume the role of Miss Christmas, passing out gifts to the needy. She also worked for the Bair Foundation, which provides support to children and families in New Wilmington, taught Christian education at The Rochester Bible Institute in Rochester, N.Y., served as a popular speaker for the Women's Aglow Fellowship and managed the Christian Education Department of the Sacred Melody Bookstore in Syracuse.
Her favorite past times were spending time with family and crocheting. Her beautiful afghans, baby items and linens can be seen in homes of family and friends throughout the country and won her prizes at the New York State Fair.
She is preceded in death by her parents, James and Elizabeth Stigliano of Sharpsville, and siblings Mary Pantalone (Thomas) of Niles, Ohio, Rita Sabella (Anthony) of Middlesex, Dominick Stigliano (Eva) of Niles, Ohio and Theresa Rubbo (Joseph) of Bayside, N.Y.
She is survived by a sister, Sarah Chiodo (Joseph) of Sharpsville, and dozens of nieces and nephews, including many grand and great-grand nieces and nephews, all of whom she held dear.
