Eric B. Kennedy, 70, of Mehard Ave. Greenville, passed away Thursday afternoon Nov. 2, 2017, after a courageous battle with cancer.
He was born in New Castle on June 16, 1947, to Wray A. and Norma M. (Smith) Kennedy.
Eric was a 1965 graduate of Anaheim (Calif.) High School and had served in the U.S. Air Force from 1967-1969. He was previously employed as a mechanic with Anderson Coach and Travel and had worked at the former Trinity Industries and as a Department of Defense contractor in Iraq. Eric was a friend of Bill W.'s for 29 years. He enjoyed working on old cars and motrocycles.
On Feb. 7, 1989, he married the former Marsha H. Waddell, who survives at home. Also survivng are two daughters, Laurie Moyer of Sharpsville and Lynda Shaffer and her husband James of Palatka, Fla.; four sons, Fred Kennedy of Harrisville, Ricky Kennedy of Palatka, Fla., Matthew Mong and his wife Sarah of Cocoa, Fla., and Daniel Mong and his wife Tiffany of Greenville, one sister; Marilyn Knapton of Fayettville, Ga., three brothers; Fred Kennedy of Phoenix, Ariz., Terry Kennedy of Everett, Wash., and James Kennedy of Phoenix, Ariz.; and 12 grandchildren.
His parents preceded him in death.

Inurnment: Private, in Venango Cemetery, Venango, Pa.
