Elizabeth  Flaga


Elizabeth Flaga, formerly of Hubbard, Ohio, passed away at 5:55 p.m. Monday, April 15, 2019 following a brief illness in O'Brien Memorial Health Care Center, Masury, Ohio. She was 92.
She was born in Farrell on May 11, 1926, to Lawrence and Mary Kulnis Kuczynski. She was a 1944 graduate of Farrell High School.
Elizabeth was married to Theodore Flaga on May 11, 1954. He preceded her in death on June 27, 2005.
She was a member of St. Adalbert Parish, Farrell. She was a member of its Altar Rosary Society and its secretary for many years. She was a member of the Infant Jesus of Prague Guild and participated in the parish pierogi project.
She loved to bowl and was a member of a monthly card club.
She had previously been employed at the Buday Reality Co. in Sharon Dollar Savings and Loan Co., Hermitage.
Everyone who knew Elizabeth said she was a kind, sweet lady. And she was: to her customers, her friends and her family. She was generous to a fault to her nieces and nephews, grand-nieces and grand-nephews, her co-workers, her parish and various charities. She was pleasant, always smiling. She loved playing cards with the ladies of her neighborhood and with her nephews when they were growing up.
She loved traveling with her husband and visited all the USA, except for Alaska, as well as all of Europe and the Holy Land. She loved learning about new things and was an avid PBS supporter and watcher.
Elizabeth is survived by a niece, Mary Elizabeth Moroco; two nephews, Larry (Roseann) Rybicki and Henry (Deborah) Rybicki; and 11 grand-nieces and -nephews.
Two sisters preceded her in death, Stella M. Moroco and Anna Rybicki.
The family requests contributions in her memory be made to Holy Cross Cemetery fund.

Calling hours: 10 to 11 a.m. Wednesday (4-24-19) at the at the A.E. PUSTINGER FUNERAL HOME, Ltd., 1310 Idaho St., Farrell.
Service: Funeral Mass at 11:30 Wednesday St. Adalbert Church, 1025 Fruit Ave., Farrell, celebrated by the Rev. Matthew J. Ruyechan.
Burial: Private, in Holy Cross Cemetery, Hermitage.
