"Ted" Spohn Jr.

Ted Spohn Jr. Edward "Ted" Spohn Jr., 57, of Farrell, passed away peacefully with his wife by his side following a courageous battle with cancer on Saturday, Feb. 9, 2019, in his home.
Ted was born Dec. 19, 1961, in Sharon, a son of the late Edward T. Spohn Sr. and Peggy (Haun) Spohn. A lifelong area resident, he attended Farrell High School.
Ted was employed by Moroco Construction for more than 18 years. He loved his job and developed a special relationship with Joe and Jack Moroco, as well as the Moroco family members and work crew who became his "extended family."
Ted loved music, attending concerts with his daughter, fishing, his dogs and spending time in the garage. He adored his grandsons and attended all of their Big Reds sporting events. His grandson's teammates referred to him
as "Papa Ted."
Surviving are his wife of 32 years, the former Charlene Cupic; a daughter, Danielle Cupic, of West Middlesex; a son, Teddy Spohn, of Hermitage; his stepfather, Charles Travis, of Wheatland; three grandchildren, Christian and Tyler Snyder and Mia Grace; three brothers, Robert K. Spohn and his wife, Jorene, of Masury, Ohio, Clarence Spohn, of Sharon and William "Tater" McCoy of Masury; a half-sister, Teri Ross, of California; and three half-brothers, Bill Folsom, of Georgia, John Spohn of Florida and David Wakefield, of Tennessee. Ted will also be missed by his nieces and nephews with whom he shared a special bond, particularly Justin Cupic, Felicia and Theresa Castleberry, and Kayla Custer, all which he helped raise.
Ted was preceded in death by his father, Edward Spohn, Sr.; his mother, Peggy Travis; and a brother, Brian C. Spohn.
