Edward Thomas Scott, 50, of Bicknell, Ind., passed away on Monday, Jan. 15, 2018, at his residence from complications of the flu.
He was born in Sharon, Pa., on Nov. 28, 1967, to Thomas Edward and Linda Lou (Black) Scott.
Edward graduated from Sharon High School in 1988 and worked in merchandising most of his life. He completed training from Microsoft in software and computer applications and for a short time owned and operated a computer shop in Austintown, Ohio.
Edward loved fishing, hunting, boating, painting and prospecting for gold, minerals and gemstones from which he created various jewelry pieces. He also enjoyed photography, watching, learning and interacting with animals, working on cars and anything outdoors, but most of all he loved his 4-year-old son, James, that he had with is life-partner Kay. He was always willing to help other people sometimes even to his detriment. Edward was a member of the Huff N' Puff Construction Crew and he also volunteered at Our Haven Nature Sanctuary in French Lick and at the Midian Campground at Springville, Ind.
Survivors include his parents, Thomas Edward and Linda Lou (Black) Scott of Sharon, Pa.; life-partner, Kay Lynne Isaac of Bicknell, Ind.; a son, James Edward Scott of Bicknell, and several uncles, aunts and many cousins.
Edward was preceded in death by paternal grandparents, McKee Alexander Scott and Anna Catherine Scott; maternal grandparents, James Richard Black and Lucy Virginia Black; several uncles, aunts and cousins.
An Order of Eastern Star service followed by a Masonic funeral service was held Monday, Jan. 22, 2018, at MENG FAMILY FUNERAL HOME in Odon, Ind., followed by cremation and burial at a later date.
