Earl E. Van Dyke, 92, of Mercer (Findley Township) passed away Saturday evening in Trinity Living Center following a brief illness.
Earl was born in Irwin Township, Venango County, on March 20, 1925, to Edward and Esther (Surrena) Van Dyke.
He married Evelyn R. Weaver on May 17, 1954. She preceded him in death on Nov. 12, 2013.
He was raised in the Methodist Faith.
Earl retired from the parts room at Copper Bessemer in 1990 following 38 years of service.
He was a member of the Mercer Moose and he enjoyed hunting and helping at the farm.
Survivors include three children, William Van Dyke and wife Karen, Mercer, Edward Van Dyke and wife Marna, Cochranton, and Patricia Johnson, Grove City; seven grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and a sister, Lucille Van Dyke, Grove City.
His parents, wife and a sister, Mary Ruth Kocher, preceded Earl in death.

Service: Funeral at 1:30 p.m. Wednesday (12-13-17) at the funeral home with Rev. Amy Worline officiating.
Burial: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake.
