Douglas R. Williams of Jackson Center, passed way unexpectedly of natural causes at 6:37 p.m. Monday, Dec. 4, 2017, in the emergency department of Grove City Medical Center. He was 47.
Born in Grove City on March 20, 1970, he was a son of David R. and Mary Louise Visniesky Williams.
He was a 1988 graduate of Grove City High School and attended the Bradford Business School.
Doug worked the last 20 years at the International Timber and Veneer (ITV), Jackson Township, starting in 1997.
He attended the Vincent United Methodist Church, Jackson Center.
Doug loved the outdoors and was an avid hunter and was very proud to be with his son, Logan, who bagged his first deer this season. He was involved in his son's sports activities and also helped as a coach. He enjoyed fishing in Canada, golfing and spending family vacations at the beach.
He was a loving husband and father and especially adored his daughter Sara and watching her cheer as a cheerleader.
His wife, the former Kristie J. McCurdy, whom he married Oct. 11, 2003, survives along with a daughter, Sara E. Williams and a son, Logan J. Williams, all at home. Also surviving are his mother, Mary Louise Williams, and his grandmother, Mary Visniesky, both of Grove City; and a sister, Michelle Williams, and a brother, David Williams of Kentucky.
He was preceded in death by his father and grandfather George Visniesky.

Service: Funeral at 11 a.m. Friday (12-8-17) in the funeral home, with the Rev. Janet R. Pratt, pastor, Methodist United in Faith, officiating.
Interment: Union Home Cemetery, Wolf Creek Township, Grove City.
