Dolores's Story

Dolores M. Raiti, 83, of Greenville, passed away on Wednesday Dec. 20, 2017, at her home in Greenville surrounded by family. 
Dolores was born on Aug. 29, 1934, to William and Ethel (Holzapfel) Shields in Transfer. She attended Hickory schools. Dolores worked as an inspector for Ohio Lamp General Electric Plant in Warren, Ohio. On Dec. 30, 1950, she married her husband, the late, Andrew Raiti, who passed away July 17, 2017.
She was a member of St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage. Dolores volunteered at UPMC Greenville in the Oncology Department. She enjoyed crocheting and most importantly, spending time with her family, grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren.
Dolores is survived by her daughter, Patricia (Dale) Johnson of Transfer; son, Andrew James Raiti of Greenville; sisters, Roberta "Sue" (John) Regis, Ruby Hoover; and sister-in-law, Shirley Shields. She is also survived by five grandchildren, nine great-grandchildren, two great-great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by father, William Shields; mother, Ethel Shields; husband, Andrew Raiti; sister, Jean Burnette; and brothers, William Shields, and Robert Shields.

Services: Panachida pray service will be held at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday (12-27-17) in the funeral home. Funeral Divine Liturgy will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday (12-27-17) in St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Church in Hermitage, with Father Kevin Marks, officiating.
Burial: St. Michael Byzantine Catholic Cemetery.
