Dennis's Story

Dennis A. "Denny" Stewart, 70, of Hubbard, Ohio, passed away on Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018, at home with his family by his side after an extended illness.
Denny was born June 17, 1947, in Sharon, a son of Herbert and Betty (Quigley) Stewart.
A 1965 graduate of Brookfield High School, Denny went on to serve in the United States Naval Reserves, where he was a storekeeper third class from 1968 to 1970 active duty. After his naval service, he graduated from Youngstown State University with a degree in marketing. Denny then worked as a sales representative for Purina/Nestle for 37 years, retiring in 2012.
In his younger days, Denny was a member of Teenies Tavern in the high grade softball league, enjoyed playing racquetball at the Buhl Club, driving his Corvette and was an avid golfer. Denny was past president of the Hubbard Girls Volleyball Booster Club and for 20 years was presiding secretary for the St. Dom's golf league. Besides his interest in World War II, Denny loved sports; Buckeyes, Indians, Cavaliers and Browns, in that order.
Denny is survived by his wife of 47 years, Marilyn (Murcko) Stewart. He will also be missed by his daughter, Kelly Stewart-Davidson, his son-in-law, Burt, of Aurora; and three grandkids, Ellyn, Ian and Ryan, who were crazy about their Papa. He also leaves his sister, Debbie (Michael) Mosora of Brookfield, Ohio; and his aunt, Shirley Stewart of Sharon.
Denny was preceded in death by his parents.
