David "Marty" Uber, 79, of Hermitage, passed away Dec. 29, 2017, at Nugent's Convalescent Home, Hermitage.
Marty was born on Jan. 26, 1938, in Brookfield to John and Erma (Cole) Uber.
Marty and his wife Kitty owned MarKit Construction. Marty also spent 28 years as a tank car repairman at GATX until it closed.
Marty's passion was golfing. His love of the sport is what led to his final business endeavor MarKit Golf Driving Range.
A memorial service for Marty will be held at 6 p.m. Jan. 11 at Lane Funeral Homes, Madasz Chapel.
Marty is survived by his wife, Catherine "Kitty" Uber, his children Laurie (Clay) Richtor, Ronald (Paula) Uber, Pam (Chuck) Kish, Chere Cunningham and Perry Passeri; 10 grandchildren, several great-grandchildren and his brother Ernest (Gail) Uber. He was preceded in death by his parents; his grandson, Kyle Uber; and sister Doris Pacsi.
