Daniel Clifton Coast Sr., 78, of Jackson Center, died at The Grove in New Wilmington on Tuesday (Feb. 6, 2018).
He was born in Worth Township on Aug. 1, 1939, to the late George Lewis and Pearl Augustus Hanbee Coast Sr.
He married the former Janet Wagner, and she survives at the residence.
He was a very honest hard worker and builder and built his cabin proudly. He built tractors and cars and liked to call himself a "shade-tree mechanic."
He was a proud father.
Surviving are: his wife, Janet; and children, Junifer Coast Rogan-Slee, Wanda Coast Peterson, Alan Coast, Daniel Coast Jr., Michelle Coast Simmons, and Walker Coast; grandchildren, Alan Coast Jr.,
Marlania Saylor, Mandy Coast, Jamie Simmons-Nunez, Kristina Simmons, Cassandra Coast, Seth Coast, Danielle Coast, Jonathan Coast, Daniel Rogan, and Coledan Slee; and 13 great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by: his mother, Pearl Augustus Hanby; five brothers and five sisters, and one remains.
Mr. Coast was a devoted Jehovah's Witness and loved looking forward to paradise and seeing his parents and children there.
He will be dearly missed by all. His children and family will be loving him forever and ever, Amen, just as he always loved us.
