Clifford D. Hale


Clifford D. Hale, 90, of Mercer, passed away at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 5, 2019, at his residence in Bonita Springs, Fla., after an extended illness.
He was born on March 4, 1929, in Clintonville, to Andrew and Margaret Heath Hale.
Cliff was the owner and operator of Evergreen Trailer Sales. He attended the Mercer United Methodist Church. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle.
Mr. Hale was a Navy veteran.
Cliff is survived by his wife, Pauline Lucas Hale, whom he married on Nov. 12, 1961; two sons, Christopher D. (Paula) Hale in Ft. Lauderdale, Fla., and Craig D. (Nicole) Hale in New Castle; four grandchildren, Brianna, Makenna, Caleb and Christian Hale; two stepgrandchildren, Erica and Jonathan Nudelman; his three sisters, Jean McBride in Grove City, Gloria (Richard) Burk in Clintonville and Marjorie Snyder in Barkeyville.
Mr. Hale was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers; and three sisters.

Calling hours: From 2 to 4 p.m. and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday (6-10-19) at CUNNINGHAM FUNERAL HOME INC., 144 S. Pitt St., Mercer.
Service: Funeral will be at 11 a.m. Tuesday (6-11-19) at the funeral home, with the Rev. Brian Keller and the Rev. Richard Carlson officiating.
Burial: Crestview Memorial Park, Pine Township, where military honors will be rendered.
