Chester E. Parquett of Forestville passed away on Tuesday (Sept. 12, 2017) in Shelbourne Personal Care Home, Butler. He was 91.
Chester was born in Liberty Township, Mercer County, on April 13, 1926, to John P. and Francis L. (Young) Parquett.
He married Shelva Jean Klink on July 22, 1963; she preceded him in death on May 25, 1999.
He retired from Cooper Energy Service, Grove City, in 1987 where he was a supervisor for 30 years.
Chester was raised in the Protestant faith. He was a graduate of Slippery Rock High School. Following high school he was drafted into the Navy and served in the Pacific Theater.
He was a member of the American Legion, Harrisville.
He is survived by: a brother, Fred Parquett, Butler; a sister-in-law, Carole A. Augostine, Forestville; and a brother-in-law, Edward L. Klink and wife Linda, Butler.
In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by: two sisters, Ethel Burke and Helen Larry; and three brothers, Thomas, Frances and John Parquett.

Funeral: 10:30 a.m. Saturday (9-16-17) in the funeral home with Rev. Willard Morse officiating.
Burial: North Liberty Cemetery.
