Charles Edward Tuttle

Charles Edward Tuttle Charles Edward Tuttle, formerly of 17 N. High St., passed away on March 11, 2019, at The Grove of Greenville. He was 74.
Mr. Tuttle was born Aug. 27, 1944, in Greenville, to Everett Leroy and Mary Alice Kennedy Tuttle.
He was a member of St. Michael's Roman Catholic Church in Greenville, and a 1962 graduate of St. Michael's High School. He was preceded in death by his parents.
A Vietnam veteran, Chuck was a Life Member of the Reynolds Veterans of Foreign Wars Post 7599, and served as an Honor Guard member and as post chaplain. He was also a social member of the Italian Home Club in Greenville. In both venues, "Chuck" (also known as "Charlie Tuna") was renowned for his wit and encyclopedic knowledge of all things sports.
He worked at Westinghouse Electric in Sharon, Greenville Steel Car and Salem Tube in the Reynolds Development.
An avid sportsman, he was active in the Greenville area coaching and umpiring slow-pitch softball, managing Cooper Roofing, Duffy's Tavern and the Knights of Columbus softball teams, in men's league basketball and in Reynolds Peewee Football. His hobbies were reading, hunting, and fishing.
Charles is survived by two sisters, Juliana Repasky (husband Michael) of Columbia, N.J., and Nancy Taylor (husband Gary) of Newtown; two brothers, Robert (wife Karen) of Brevard, N.C., and John (wife Elaine) of York; two nieces, Stephanie Repasky and Danica Taylor; and three nephews, John Repasky, Joe Repasky and Bradley Tuttle.
Donations may be made to the Fisher House Foundation, 111 Rockville Pike No. 420, Rockville, MD 20850, which provides a network of comfort homes nationwide where military and veterans' families can stay at no cost while a loved one is receiving treatment.

Services: Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:30 a.m. Friday (3-15-19) in St. Michael Roman Catholic Church, Greenville, with the Rev. V. Foradori, pastor of the church, as celebrant.
Burial: St. Michael Cemetery, with military honors rendered by Reynolds VFW Post 7599.
