Catherine's Story

Mrs. Catherine Mae (Barnes) Cozadd passed away peacefully Friday morning Aug. 25, 2017, at The Arbor Assisted Living and Memory Care in Nacogdoches, Texas. She was 94.
She was a loving wife, mother and friend to many. She was the last surviving member of her family of origin.  Born March 20, 1923, in Sharon, she was the youngest of three children.  She grew up in Sharon and married her childhood sweetheart, Clyde Cozadd, during World War II. 
Post-war, the couple took up residence in Canton, Ohio, where they had two children, Connie Lou and David Lee.  The family lived for a number of years in Broomfield, Colo., before moving to Dallas, Texas, in 1966. 
Catherine was preceded in death by husband, Clyde, and daughter, Connie.  
She is survived by her son, David, and his wife Amy Nixdorf; grandchildren Erik Cozadd, Elaine Horner and Wendy Gerstenkorn; and great-grandchildren Ava Cozadd, Mark and Emily Horner and Evan and Van Gerstenkorn.

A private graveside service was held on Friday afternoon (9-8-17) at Mount Washington Cemetery, Jefferson Township. 
Arrangements were handled by the SAMPLE O'DONNELL FUNERAL HOME, Sharon.
