Carol A. Saylor, Lyons, Ga., formerly of Jamestown, passed away unexpectedly of natural causes on Friday, Aug. 25, 2017, in Kingsport Tenn. She was 69.
Born Dec. 12, 1947, in Grove City, she was a daughter of George E. and Helen Jane Ringer Schell.
Carol was a 1965 graduate of Lakeview High School. In earlier years she worked at Greenville Steel Car, Universal Refractories and then retired after many years as the secretary to the superintendent of Jamestown schools. After retiring, she took a job as a road inspector for Quality Engineering Solutions.
She loved life and enjoyed people. She was a member of the Moose and Eagles clubs of Greenville, Jamestown VFW and Jamestown and Hartstown firemen's clubs.
Carol loved to travel and enjoyed driving her 1963 Plymouth convertible and spending time on Pymatuning Lake.
Most of all she loved being a mother, grandmother and great-grandmother and will be sadly missed.
Survivors include: her two sons, Darrell L. Saylor Jr. (Tammy Green), Lyons, and Kirk C. (Bobbie) Saylor, Hadley; two grandchildren, Nick Saylor, Greenville, and Krista (Larry) Kessler, Lyles, Tenn.; four great-grandchildren, Jasmine, Shaina, Hunter and Talon; four sisters, Linda Cushing, Bulls Gap, Tenn.; Kathy Patterson, Fredonia; Debra (Larry) Beougher, Elba, Ala.; and Vicki Schell, Transfer; two brothers, George E. "Butch" (Melodie "Mike") Schell, Fredonia, and Thomas E. Schell, Stoneboro; and her former husband Darrell L. Saylor Sr. and his wife Dottie, Hadley.
In addition to her parents, a brother, Gary L. Schell Sr., and an infant sister, Donna J. Schell, preceded her in death.

Funeral service: 11 a.m. Thursday (8-31-17) in the funeral home with Tim Clark, pastor of Emmanuel Christian Church, officiating.
Interment: Oak Hill Cemetery, Sandy Lake Township.
