Carol A. Rotunno, of Hockessin, Del., formerly of Sharon, passed away at 11:16 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 16, 2017, in Kentmere Nursing and Rehabilitation Center, Wilmington, Del. She was 74.
Carol was born Dec. 27, 1942, in Sharon, a daughter of Dominic and Elizabeth (DiCello) Zoccola. She was a lifelong area resident and a 1960 graduate of Sharon High School.
Carol was a homemaker and a member of the Church of the Sacred Heart, Sharon. She enjoyed her card club, ceramics, painting and hosting the best Christmas Eve party anywhere.
Carol is survived by her husband, Louis C. Rotunno Sr., whom she married on April 11, 1964; two sons, Louis C. "Charlie" Rotunno Jr. and his partner Tim McLaughlin, of Hockessin and James D. Rotunno and his wife, Naoko, of Delta; and a daughter, Cindy M. Rotunno and her partner, James Parton, of New Market, Tenn.; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and two sisters, Rosalie Morgan and Marie Currie, both of Sharon.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
