Bonita's Story

Bonita "Bonnie" Jones Stewart, 91, passed away on Sunday (Jan. 21, 2018) while under hospice care.
Bonnie was a Florida resident, but Sharon was always "home." She was a graduate of Hickory High School.
Bonnie took pride in her 30-plus years as a grade-school teacher, active member of the church and drama club, entertaining children and retirement communities as "Petunia" the clown, and serving hundreds of hours as a volunteer in all types of venues.
Bonnie is survived by: her daughters, Rachel (Mike, deceased) Pagliaro, and Barbara (Ken) Daugherty; her granddaughters, Melissa Hackel and Christina (Bob) Burns; and her four great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by: her mother and father, George and Gertrude Jones; brother, Les Jones; sister-in-law, Ruth Ann Jones; and grandson, Michael Daugherty.
She will be missed.
