Betty was born Nov. 10, 1922, to J. Glenn and Ora Weber Wimer.
After graduating from Grove City High School in 1940, Betty worked as a secretary at several places, including the Mercer County Courthouse and Grove City Schools.
Betty married William Milner, also of Grove City, on Nov. 11, 1943, and lived near Fort Lee, Va., until Bill's discharge from the Army. They celebrated their 60th wedding anniversary prior to Bill's passing in January 2004.
Betty lived in Grove City until she moved to Wellsville, N.Y., in 2013 to live with her daughter.
They moved to Murrells Inlet in 2017.
She was an active volunteer with Meals On Wheels, Grove City Medical Center, and Grace United Methodist Church.
Betty is survived by: her daughter, Beth (Richard) Howitt; her beloved granddaughter, Loralee Milner Tyson (Andrew Schaffer); grandsons, Nathan (Jill) and Seth (Lynda) Howitt. Also dear to her were her three nieces, four nephews and sister-in-law, Louise Wimer (Paul) Baseler. She greatly enjoyed her great-granddaughters Kaylee and Abigail Howitt, Allison and Sarah Decker, and Maddie Poe.
She was preceded in death by her brother, Clyde Wimer, and sister-in-law, Annabelle Milner Hall.

Service: Memorial service will be 11 a.m. Aug. 17 at Grace United Methodist Church, Grove City.
