Barbara Anne (McGinty) Stawaisz, 86, of Simpsonville, S.C., formerly of Hermitage, passed peacefully on Oct. 7, 2017. She was a precious mother to Robert, Susan and Patricia and a devoted wife to her husband of 46 years, Michael.
A devout woman of the Roman Catholic faith, she served our Lord ministering to the sick and dying as a Registered Nurse for more than 40 years.
She was the loving daughter of Gertrude (Moran) McGinty and John Edward McGinty II and the only sister to her brothers, Robert and John.

She married Michael A. Stawaisz of Farrell on Oct. 9, 1954, in Sharon. The couple made their home in Hermitage with their children.
Barbara derived great pleasure from the meaningful relationships that she developed throughout her lifetime. She leaves a treasured friend in Regina Donnelly while reuniting with her sister/friend, Jeanne McCullough, in Heaven.

She is survived by her two daughters, Susan and Patricia; her brother and his wife, John and Nina McGinty of Hermitage; and a brother-in-law, Henry Stawaisz, and a sister-in-law, Gertrude Stawaisz, both of Farrell.
