Jean Thomas B. Jean Gearhart Thomas, 83, of Hermitage, passed away on Friday Dec. 28, 2018, at Sharon Regional Medical Center, Sharon.
Jean was born on March 5, 1935, to Glen Elwood and Christine Ruth (Herdman) Gearhart in Newton-Hamilton.
She graduated from Hickory High School Class of 1953.
Jean worked for Westinghouse Inc. and as the engineering department secretary for Ross Industries in Midland, Va.
She was of Protestant faith.
Jean was an avid Pittsburgh Pirates fan all her life and was known to follow games even as a young girl.
Most important to her was her family whom she loved spending time with.
Jean is survived by her son, Glen (Kathy)Thomas of Mercer; daughter, Pam Thomas of Sharon; two grandchildren, Glen Thomas and Kristina Thomas; and sister, Glenda (Jerrie) O'Brien of Warren, Ohio.
She was preceded in death by father, Glen Elwood Gearhart; mother, Christine Ruth Gearhart; sisters, Arlene Gearhart, Urla Sterling, Janet Pompey; and brother, Glen Gearhart.
Memorial contributions may be sent to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105 in memory of Jean.

Service: Funeral will be 1 p.m. Thursday (1-3-19) at the funeral home, with Pastor Aaron Lego officiating.
Burial: America's Cemetery.
