Alice Elizabeth Stahl, 74, of Peyton, Colo., formerly of Sharpsville, passed away Friday afternoon, Aug. 9, 2019, at home after a lengthy illness.
Alice was born Sept. 25, 1944, in Clarks Mills, to Ackley and Ruth (Murdock) Stearns.
Alice was graduate of Lakeview High School.
In 1998, Alice retired from Delphi Packard Electric after working at various area locations for 30 years.
She was of the Methodist faith and formerly belonged to First United Methodist Church of Sharpsville.
Alice enjoyed trips to the casino, golfing, and spending time with her loved ones. She enjoyed sweet treats and loved sharing them with her family.
Alice believed just as Emily Dickinson wrote, "Unable are the loved to die, for love is immortality."
She is survived by three children, Deborah Rennae Gettings (Scott), of Sharpsville, Pamela Elizabeth Brown (Steven), of Peyton, and Brian Charles Stahl (Stacy), of Sharpsville; a sister, Ruth Slater (Carl) of Las Vegas; a brother, Wallace Stearns of Jackson Center; a grandson, Robert Brown of Peyton; a granddaughter, Karisten Carpenter (Jonathan) of Peyton; McKayla Gettings and Alexa Gettings of Sharpsville; and three great-grandchildren, Hunter, Walker and Ryder Carpenter.
Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Ruth and Ackley Stearns, and six siblings, Wade Stearns, Harold Stearns, Robert Stearns, Arka Persch, Sarah Bennett and Hazel Suroiu.
