Alice Rebecca "Becky" Montgomery, 80, of Pine Township, passed away at Trinity Living Center on Wednesday, Feb. 14, 2018, on what was her 80th birthday.
She was born on Feb. 14, 1938, in Barboursville, W.Va., to Willard Cecil Cumpston and Margaret Macy Plybon Cumpston.
She graduated from Slippery Rock High School in 1956. On Sept. 21, 1960, she married David L. "Monte" Montgomery, who preceded her in death in September 2011.
Becky had worked at Bashline-Oakhill Hospital and later United Community Hospital in Grove City as a nurse's aide and later as a unit secretary.
She was an active member of the Harmony Evangelical Presbyterian Church in Harrisville, where she had taught Sunday school and sang in the choir. She enjoyed gardening, ceramics, being outdoors, tending to her geese and most of all, being with her grandchildren.
Survivors include her daughter, Michelle L. Cravener (Brian), of Slippery Rock; son, Ronald N. Montgomery (Darlene), of Falmouth, Ky.; three sisters, Nancy Patterson, of Portersville; Gretchen Cumpston (David), of Harrisville, and Sally Bluedorn (Ken), of Slippery Rock; and three grandchildren, Megan Cravener and fiancé, Daniel Snyder, of Wexford, and Amie and Sam Cravener, of Slippery Rock.
She is preceded in death by her husband; son, David B. Montgomery; and brother, Williard Cumpston.

Calling hours: 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. Sunday (2-18-18) at SMITH FUNERAL HOME, 421 New Castle St., Slippery Rock, and 10 to 11 a.m. Monday (2-19-18) at the Harmony Evangelical Presbyterian Church, 234 North Main St., Harrisville.
Service: Funeral at 11 a.m. Monday (2-19-18) at the church, with the Rev. Dr. Jeffrey Jones presiding.
Internment: Prairie Cemetery, Harrisville.
