Alice A. Brant, of Hermitage, formerly of Akron, Ohio, died at 3:35 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 10, 2017, at University Hospital in Cleveland after an extended illness. She was 70.
Alice was born, March 15, 1947, in Akron, Ohio, a daughter of Harold Woodford and June Flower Woodford. She married Cary C. Brant on Oct. 6, 1984. He passed away on Nov. 1, 2014. She attended Ohio Northern University, where she received her bachelor's degree in pharmacy. Alice was a pharmacist at Greenwood Pharmacy and the former Mercer Apothecary and then worked at H&R Block as an enrolled agent for 30 years.
She attended New Fellowship Baptist Church and enjoyed cross stitching, crocheting, playing bridge and volunteering at the Hubbard Library.
Surviving is her daughter, Bonnie Maxie and her husband, Mark, of Atlanta, Ga.; sons, Steven Garrett and his wife, Coreen, of Stoneham, Mass., and Jeffrey Garrett and his wife, Amy, of Hermitage; sister, Pauline Reed and her husband, Larry, of Perrysburgh, Ohio; and grandchildren, Austin, Ava, Nicholas and Steven Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
